Ex-Scorpions Guitarist Uli Jon Roth Reflects on 50-Year Anniversary

Ex-Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth is currently on a World Tour celebrating his 50th anniversary in music. He’s been tearing it up not only with The Scorpions but also with Electric Sun and solo. He is also the founder of Sky Academy and inventor of the Sky Guitar.

Prior to my interview with him last week, I decided to dig into the Tokyo Tapes Revisited. Personally, I loved his performances from that show. Every chance he gets, he tries to incorporate some Jimi Hendrix into his show. His performances of “All Along The Watchtower” and “Little Wing” were phenomenal.

In my interview with Uli, we time-travel back to how things got started with his career in music, talk about his transition from The Scorpions to Electric Sun and much much more.

Nirvana Manager Danny Goldberg Releases New Book “Serving The Servant: Remembering Kurt Cobain”

It’s hard to think about it being 25 years since the tragic death of Nirvana’s lead singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain. His legacy has surpassed his 4-year career (1990-1994) by decades. He ends up becoming an icon of his generation much like Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson or even Elvis Presley.

With tons of honesty and empathy, Danny Goldberg, one of the Nirvana’s managers shares his memories of his brief but momentous time with Kurt and the band in his new book “SERVING THE SERVANT: Remembering Kurt Cobain.”

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Danny on my podcast to talk about his book, talk about Kurt’s legacy, and of course share some of his memories.
